A little bit about me:
I began teaching in 2009 at an alternative school in Greeley, CO while I pursued my Masters in Special Education. A year after completing my Masters, I began working at Fort Lupton Middle School. There I worked with 6th, 7th and 8th grade Mild/Moderate Special Education students. The last 3 years I was Department Lead for the Special Education Department. This will be my first year in at Rocky Top Middle School. I love teaching middle school!
I am native to Colorado. I was born in Fort Collins but grew up in Loveland. I currently live in Longmont. I graduated from Loveland High School in 2002. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Colorado State University in 2006.I taught preschool for a year before working in a substance abuse program for adolescents. I began working in the education setting of the program while I enrolled in graduate school. I have a Masters degree in Special Education - Generalist from the University of Northern Colorado.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My husband and I like to go jeeping and spend time in the mountains when we can. I also love to cook, bake, read, listen to music, and paint my nails.
